Countless Hull Kingston Rovers fans have shown up in Las Vegas ahead of the team's Super League clash with Leeds Rhinos later.

Supporters from both sides required to the Strip, the primary street in the US gambling capital.

Life-long fan Richard Major described the concept of the Robins playing in Vegas as "absolutely unbelievable".

The previous soldier has supported the team for more than 30 years and flew to Nevada from his home in North Yorkshire.

"All those years of following them around and like the majority of the time getting walloped, to be honest, and not being extremely good, not anticipating a lot," he stated.

"And after that to come cycle and now to be world champs and be playing in Vegas. It's pretty unreal, to be truthful."

Another fan made the trip with his household from Sydney.

Simon Latus matured in east Hull and emigrated to in 2020. He said living Down Under meant not being able to see the Robins play, so when the match was announced he grabbed the possibility to go.

"This is never ever going to take place again," he stated.

"Rovers in Vegas is an outrageous concept in itself, simply even saying those words seems a bit insane.

"So I think simply making that effort of the thousands of dollars on the flight and bringing the household across, my partner and my kid. I simply believe it's one of those where you simply can't say no to it."

Latus said he was enjoying soaking up the environment in the desert city with "thousands of red and white all over".

Another Sydney-based advocate, Leonard Gregory, stated it was "the shortest distance I've ever travelled for a Robins' home game".

Gregory ended up being thinking about the team after he and his wife visited Craven Park during the 2013 Rugby League World Cup.

He flew from Australia to enjoy the team win the Grand Final in 2015.

"When it got revealed that we were going, we reserved the flight quickly," he said.

"We 'd never been here. It's probably whatever that America is in a microcosm and it's just, it's surreal."

Match protection of the video game at the Allegiant Stadium is on BBC Radio Humberside and BBC Sounds from 23:45 GMT on Saturday.
